Candidate for
Council Member; Town of Portola Valley

We moved to Portola Valley a little over 10 years ago, attracted by the town's rural character and volunteer-governance principles, built a modern "green" house here, and have loved raising our dogs and kids here.

As a Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur and as an appointed member of the ASCC, I have a proven record of being able to work constructively with divergent groups of people to achieve consensus where possible and compromise where needed.  I am particularly good at working in situations with time and budget constraints, or with unanticipated problems, and at defusing conflicts which may arise.

2014 will be the Town's 50th anniversary.  While many years have passed since 1964, the guiding principles underlying our Town's founding continue to be as vital today as then: preservation of our natural environment, open space, small-town ambiance and maintenance of responsive and efficient local government.

I look forward to the opportunity to help guide the town into its next 50 years, adapting to the dynamic changes of Silicon Valley while maintaining the natural character and strength of our community.
