To focus support on the teachers - the most important influence on a student's achievement.The greatest influence on a student's education is the teacher. The teacher sets the expectations for the student, the teacher evaluates if the student is meeting those expectations, and the teacher takes action if the student is not succeeding. The teacher is the heart of the classroom - giving life to the books, the blocks, the crayons, the computers - creating the educational experience for the student. I want to focus support on the teachers, to provide them with the curricular materials and the professional development needed to create an effective educational experience for the student. |
