James Scott has 17 years' of experience serving elementary school students in Los Angeles, the last 6 of these in an administrative role, overseeing the day-to-day operations, budget, and compliance with state and federal law for a 900+ student elementary school in Wilmington, CA. In his current position as School Coordinator, he also provides professional development training to his colleagues, manages school fundraisers, writes grants, and still finds the time to teach mathematics and writing to students daily, many of whom are English learners or have special needs.

James received his MA in Education from CSU Dominguez Hills in 2010, and his Administrative Services Credential in 2010.

James has been a homeowner and has resided in Hermosa Beach for 13 years. He and his wife currently have two daughters attending Valley School.
