More of the Same? "PARRISH" the thought!! IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE.

I feel I'm the right candidate for the Bellflower Governing Board because the current board does not represent the diversity that is now present in Bellflower and Lakewood communities it serves. The current board members appear to be out of touch with the needs of the classroom teachers and the children they serve.

I believe the Board members have a duty to get out and be accessible to all school sites, not just the ones where they have children or friends' children attending. There needs to be a meeting of the minds between Teachers and Board members to pursue a common goal of giving all district children an exceptional education. The last few years more responsibility has been placed on the teachers and parents with less supplies and support from the district. This does not lend itself to providing an optimum learning environment for our children. The teachers' work environment is our children's learning environment.
