My core believes are that I am morally responsible for all that I do, don't do say or don't say. I seek to serve in an attempt to honor this understanding. "How infinitesimal is the importance of anything I do, but how infinitely important it is that I do it." (Voltaire)I simply seek not to place people within the confines of a box that could in any way lead to personal or professional judgments or prejudices based on a lack of knowledge of the true nature of the person. I am not always successful in these attempts. It is, however, my goal; being human, my challenge. I have attended many universities and community colleges. I have served in the USAF, US Army, and the National Guard. I have worked in the service industry for over 38 years. I served as a commercial diver and even a fry cook. I have a keen understanding of the devastating results on society that the properties of bigotry, intolerance, and a general lack of what some would call humanity has had upon society throughout human history. I have taken many classes in social responsibility, leadership, and personal responsibility. What all of this time, experience and education has left me with is a deep sense of personal responsibility and commitment to under no circumstances be a contributing participant in any event or activity that does not deliver unto others the respect and dignity that each person deserves, independent of even my own shortcomings, lack of knowledge, social pressure or personal threats. This is my personal promise to each person I have or will ever encounter. |
