Candidate for
Council Member; City of Elk Grove; Council District 4

It has been my privilege to work with the future generation so that they enjoy an even better quality of life than I had. That is why I have devoted so much of my time to mentoring our local youth here in Elk Grove by coaching youth sports such as soccer and baseball. I believe our children need positive mentors who are willing to invest time into them and encourage them to achieve their goals. As the founder of a philanthropic-minded local association, I have also devoted much of my time to fundraising money for charities that help children such as the Make-A-Wish foundation and the YMCA. In addition to mentoring youth and fundraising dollars for children's charities, I am part of the steering committee working to launch the Power House Science Center, which will be a high-tech, hands-on, science museum that immerses our children in science, technology, engineering and math.

I believe that if given the opportunity, everyone wants to succeed and provide a good quality of life for their loved ones. Serving on the city council will give me an elevated opportunity to help serve my community through creating safe neighborhoods, a vibrant economy, and opportunities for youth. Good governance is about creating an economic environment that presents these opportunities and encourages people to succeed and create a better life for their family, no matter what their current situation is. I believe we can accomplish this through good economic and fiscal policy.
