Many safety net programs, required by Pennsylvanians often for short periods of time, have been on the chopping block.Under the current governor and a Republican Legislature, Pennsylvania is leaving many working families and the middle class behind. I will fight to restore the Adult Basic insurance program, which covered low-income Pennsylvanians. I oppose the "asset test" for food stamps supported by some Republicans. Furthermore, I strongly believe women's health decisions should be between them and their doctor - without unnecessary government meddling. |
