1. What are your qualifications for office? (50 Word limit)
With 34 years as a practicing attorney, I understand the law. With prior service as a public and private school board member, I understand education issues. With over 20 years of elected service as Township Trustee, Representative, and State Senator, I understand the governing process.2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)
My bill to revamp state aid to local governments(SB 364) will help all Hamilton County townships, cities, and villages. My vote for the recent energy bill (SB 315) helps ensure safe, responsible, but speedy progress on our road to energy independence. Having successfully rewritten Ohio's civil justice laws to curb lawsuit abuse, and having shepherded criminal justice reforms that will save $578 million in prison costs while reducing crime and giving rehabilitated offenders new chances to find employment, I am confident that I can ensure that any new school funding formula will not penalize the many school districts....3. What is the biggest issue facing the district you hope to represent? What will do you do in office to address it?
Jobs and a lackluster economy. We make improvements by eliminating regulatory overkill, promoting energy independence, and improving government efficiency at all levels while making pump-priming investments in public infrastructure.
