Increasing student achievement We need to ensure high quality learning experiences for ALL of our students. Many studies have shown the only factor that can create student achievement is a knowledgeable, skillful teacher. We can do this by providing more teacher support via professional development, collaboration and professional learning communities. Successful schools stress practices, not programs. We need to increase student achievement by developing 21st century skills for our students and eliminating the acheivement gap. Budget
Community Involvement / Volunteers We need to encourage even more parent and community involvment. We can do this be recruiting tutors, encouraging parents to find a few minutes to help with a teacher project in the evening and there are many other ways you can volunteer and be involved with our students. Employee support and accountability When it comes to students and learning it must be our #1 priority. We need to continually strengthen the practice of our principals and teachers. We must provide support for improving education by sharing resouces and expertise. Professionals must be given time to collaborate and communicate so that they can inspire and motivate each other. . |
