Candidate for
Director; Scotts Valley Fire Protection District

As a 41 year resident of Scotts Valley my desire to serve as your Fire District representative comes from a family history of public service that spans three decades.

My professional experience in both high tech and small business gives me unique qualifications in negotiations on employee contracts and benefit packages as well as understanding and balancing budgets.

I have and continue to serve this great community as a City of Scotts Valley Park Advocate. I am a Past President and current member of the Scotts Valley Host Lions Club, and Board Secretary of the Santa Cruz County Lions Eye Fund. I am a former volunteer for the Scotts Valley Police Department, and a former member of the City of Scotts Valley Traffic Safety Advisory Board (I was the liason to the City of Scotts Valley for my previous employer).

At my previous employment I served as the Chief of the company's Emergency Response Team. My major accomplishments in that role included facilitating my employer making donations of a new training computer system to the Scotts Valley Fire District, and a donation to the Scotts Valley Police Department to purchase AED's for all of their squad cars.
