This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Incumbent
Age: 57
Education and Qualifications:
Public education is one of the greatest gifts and responsibilities that a community possess. Through informed policy creation and judicious management of our resources - personnel, facilities, finances and community involvement, we must provide the best educational opportunities for our students.

As the current Board President, I am completing my fifth year as an SCUSD Trustee. During this time, we have maintained a balanced budget, raised student academic achievement, hired a strong new Superintendent and successfully passed a parcel tax measure. I bring to the Board a unique blend of experience, perspective and community trust. Locally educated at SCU (B.S.C. and M.B.A.), I was employed in professional management positions for 16 years in local industry and am currently the National Operations Director for a non-profit organization. I was humbled and educated by my 3 years as a substitute teacher in SCUSD. I am a graduate of our Leadership Santa Clara Program. As my 2 sons completed their K-12 and post-secondary educations in SCUSD, I served in various PTA and Boy Scout leadership positions and have been involved in local community service groups.

I commit to you that my focus will always be on how our decisions benefit our students.
