Candidate for
Mayor; City of Riverside

MY GOALS AS MAYOR OF RIVERSIDE:

- Get Riverside Back to Work: I will act immediately to create new incentives, reduced costs and a better business climate for small and large businesses with a range of strategies and partnerships. 
This will include the support of existing Riverside businesses; the successful promotion of the City's Economic Development Plan that was developed with business, Chamber of Commerce, and grass-roots support; aggressive recruitment nationally and internationally of new firms to Riverside; leveraging talent in Riverside for start-ups and hi-tech investment; the support of thousands of small businesses in recruitment and retention; the reduction of red-tape at City Hall; fast-track permitting; and other efforts so that Riverside is a true hub of excellence, innovation, and excitement we need it to be.

- Expand Efficiency and Accessibility to City Hall: I will open the doors of City Hall so that citizens in Riverside feel the ability to easily connect to, share with, and gain from our city government and its many services - while making City services more cost-effective and efficient for tax-payers. I've worked hard as Councilman in this arena, but we must do more so that citizens from all corners of our city feel empowered to engage with our city government, services, and their representatives.

- Tackle Head-On Riverside's Toughest Challenges - Now and in the Future: As I have during my time in Council, I will continue to aggressively fight crime and secure additional resources for our public safety personnel; work to create better conditions for educational success for our students; build new infrastructure to reduce gridlock and commute times; cut expenses at City Hall where necessary, while working to ehance the quality of services afforded by the city for its citizens; etc. I will execute with aggressive action, proven strategies and new ventures such as public-private partnerships to tackle the very things that are affecting or threatening our quality of life in Riverside.
