Skills and Assets that make me the best candidate

This gives the background, skills and assets that qualify me for this position.

I am an excellent communicator. My colleagues often joked that i could "sell ice to Eskimos". I can command the attention of 2000 students in the gym and lead an all day staff development workshop for one hundred of my peers. I am also an active listener and understand the value of hearing from all sides before making a decision.

I am a very effective problem solver. After 17 years as a high school activities director, I have learned that you always need a plan b and sometimes a plan c. I am a self-disciplined individual and I always complete any assigned task on time and under budget.

I am a product of the California Public School System and come from a family of educators. My father was a high school teacher and counselor and my mother a high school librarian. My siblings are all educators. My husband and my sons are Huntington Beach High School alumni.

All of my volunteer work in my community, both before and after my retirement, has been working with kids. While I may have officially retired from teaching, I will never stop caring about and wanting to help kids.
