My Campaign Statement

As one who served 38 years as a teacher (14 of them at the elementary school level), coordinator of the ABC Unified School District's Peer Assistance & Support System for teachers, and a district Program Specialist for Title I Schools & Data Analysis--I would bring to the Centralia School District Board of Trustees experience, knowledge, and dedication to ensure our students receive the skills that are necessary to foster achievement.

Even in these dire economic times, our district has shown progress at the state testing level. It has met California's standard for reaching an API score of 800 and over. Centralia is on the path to success and must continue on that road.

The Centralia School District has a very diverse student population. I am committed to meeting the needs of every student group. As a board member, I will strive for a partnership between administration, teachers, support staff, and parents so our district can continue its goal of providing students the learning experiences they need to prompt their academic success.

With meeting the needs of all our students as my top priority, I request your vote to serve on the Centralia Board of Trustees.
