Candidate for
Council Member; City of Garden Grove

Public service is a great privilege. It would be my honor to serve as your next Council Member. I've listened and understood your concerns. My highest priorities are job creation, improving public safety, and streamlining unnecessary regulations to better serve the small business community + the backbone of our economy which city government should help facilitate and govern with compassion.

As CEO of a 16 year old technology and management consulting corporation, I have helped improve the operation of large corporations and government agencies such as Wells Fargo Bank, SC Johnson, California Department of Public Health, Department of Corporations, County of Los Angeles, County of San Bernardino, etc.

As Chairman of the Planning Commission, I take great pride in following the guidelines of our city's General Plan. I balanced my decisions to best reflect our community needs and aspirations in a culturally diverse city. Economic gains while preserving our city's character is at the forefront of my mind.

As a refugee, I value the gift of freedom and democracy as much as I appreciate the sacrifices of those who served to defend it. My humble beginnings taught me to appreciate the value of education. In college, I juggled many odd jobs to make ends meet while pursuing a triple major in Mathematics, Physics, and Electrical Engineering. I have learned the importance of bettering oneself through education. Those difficult times taught me humility and instilled in me a sense of community bond. My desire to take on an active role to advocate education for all and serve the underprivileged began here.

Our city is facing difficult economic times. We need progressive leadership with broad experience to revitalize the business districts; a sustainable revenue generating plan; and create a strong economic engine without compromising the environment, public safety, or quality of life. I am determined to promote better communication between the city and its citizens. This means progress and a better future for Garden Grove, a place we all call home.

My wife, Mai and I, chose this city to raise our family and set up our business here over 20 years ago. I aim to make Garden Grove a better place for future generations, and for Mach, our 12 year old son. My years of volunteering and community involvement demonstrate my values and ability to take charge of difficult situations. With a great passion for our city, I humbly ask for your VOTE.
