I have been a self employed businessman for over 30 years, in businesses ranging from Pizza, Ice Cream, Real Estate, Mortgages, and Income Tax Preparation. I have spent my entire career in the Service sector, where the most important goal is to provide superior products and service to your customers. I have built a reputation as a person of integrity, honesty, accessibility, and caring. I have also served as a trustee for the Salinas City Elementary School district, where my leadership brought higher standards to the classroom, improving test scores each year, financial well being in the district, and the building of three new schools and a new district office, all without the benefit of a bond issue. I am experienced in management and negotiations, both skills which would be useful on a city council.
