In February of 1978 I graduated from high school and entered the United States Navy, and was honorably discharge with distinctions in 1982.

In 1988, I attended and completed my Bachelors of Arts Degree, at the California State University of Long Beach.

Subsequently, I completed graduate courses in Social work and Law.

I am married to an elementary school teacher who is going on 22 years of teaching.

Coming from a low income family; I appreciate the hard work it took to become a University college graduate, a husband, father of three sons, and a grandfather of 3 going on four beautiful granddaughters in December of 2012.
