Education and Qualifications:

My name is Doug Hardcastle. My family and I moved to Oakley in 1980. I'm a past President of the Oakley Lions Club, and past Vice President of the Oakley Chamber of Commerce. I'm a member of Golden Hills Community Church and choir.

I have attended Oakley City Council meetings since the first one in 1999. I was elected to serve on the Iron House Sanitary District Board of Directors in 2000, and now serve as the board president. I am very proud of what I've helped to accomplish there.

I've been co- owner of Hardcastle RV Center since we opened as a family business in 1972, relocating it to Oakley in 2005.

I'm running to represent you on the Oakley City Council because I feel it's time for a local business owner to have a voice on this council. I would like to see a more cooperative and friendly business environment so that businesses can locate here where they can be supported, flourish and prosper. Our tax dollars need to stay in Oakley supporting the services that are required for our city. With your vote I will work to bring better business opportunities to Oakley.
