Answer from Edward Headington: My priorities will be job creation, protecting public safety including firefighters and police, improving education and reforming our budget process. The budget must not be held hostage; Californians must be given renewed confidence in the state's ability to provide these fundamental services.

Answer from Edward Headington: The cost of public education at all levels is an important issue facing California families. As a new father myself, I have found that this is an extremely important issue on voters' minds today. As a state legislator, I will work to ensure that funds for public education at all levels are used as efficiently as possible. At the K-12 level, I will work with the school board members, administrators, teachers and parents in my district to provide the best-quality education possible. At the higher education level, I will work to ensure that the UC and Cal State campuses have the resources they need to provide the level of education Californians have come to expect.
