Full Biography for Daraka K. Larimore-Hall
Candidate for |

|
My name is Daraka Larimore-Hall, and I'm running for re-election to the Santa Barbara County Democratic Central Committee. I grew up in Santa Barbara, went to local schools, and am currently a graduate student working on a PhD in Sociology at UCSB. I've worked as a community organizer, union organizer and teaching assistant. I have served on the Democratic Central Committee since 2004, when I was appointed to represent then Assemblywoman Hannah-Beth Jackson. Since then, I've served as Vice-Chair and, most recently, Chair of the DCC. In that time, we've greatly increased our ability to run grassroots campaigns to elect Democrats to office, and hold them accountable. I hope you will join me in continuing to build our local Democratic Party, and the project to cultivate progressive, grassroots leadership that it has become. |
