Dr. John C. Drew, is a former Marxist who knew the young Barack Obama - and many of his closest friends - at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA in the early 1980s. He is among a handful of people in the world who not only knew the young Obama but are willing to go on the record about what they knew of his ideology. Dr. Drew became a Republican in the mid-1980s. Over the course of his intellectual journey, he earned his Ph.D. from Cornell and has taught political science and economics at Williams College - the nation's #1 ranked liberal arts college. In 1989, he won the William Anderson Award from the American Political Science Association (APSA) for the best doctoral dissertation in the nation in his field. Today, Dr. Drew lives in Laguna Niguel and makes his living as an author, trainer, and consultant in the field of non-profit grant writing, fund raising and program evaluation. Dr. Drew is also a contributing author at American Thinker, and a blogger at David Horowitz's FrontPage Magazine. Starting in 2010, his insights into the philosophy of young Barack Obama have appeared in Michael Savage's Trickle Up Poverty, Paul Kengor's Dupes, James R. Keena's We've Been Had, Stanley Kurtz's Radical-In-Chief and Jack Cashill's Deconstructing Obama. |
