Jeff Schwartz was born in Los Angeles in the late 20th Century.

He has lived in Monterey Park since the age of three. Jeff has always been a leader. Jeff says that his first political office was second grade class Vice President. In college he served on the Board of Directors of Associated Students of Cal State Los Angeles. He also became Vice President or President of three different student organizations. His experience in these organizations formed the basis for his leadership style, which is mostly to empower members of his team or committee to do what they know how to do for the organization. In college, Jeff enjoyed learning fencing and skiing, while he majored in Psychology and minored in Political Science. Jeff buys books at library booksales. In 2001 he realized that year he bought nine new history books in stores and read all of them. Jeff still enjoys history very much. Lately he has been reading about Chinese history and Native American history.

Jeff is a professional Chess Coach with over 160 students of all ages.
