Conduct as a board member

Unless physically unable or out of the area to attend college classes or education conferences, I have attended every board meeting in my 39.5 years of service. I always come prepared by having read the board packet before the meeting.

Although I may have strong opinions about an issue, I listen attentively to audience & board member input & occasionally change my opinion before voting.

My primary concern is for the students & I try to determine what is best for them before making any decision.

I am constantly aware that I am not the board and have no authority to act as an individual. I strive to bring board members to a concensus before voting. A united board is a more effective board.

I wish to continue my many years as a volunteer helping young people in whatever way I can. Thank you for your vote.
