Of the 8 bills signed by Gov. Kasich, 3 were bans on abortion.
Republican leadership, elected because of the economic crisis, immediately rolled up their sleeves and started banning contraception and abortion for Ohio's most vulnerable women. We need the Democratic Party to present a unified front to demand access to abortion care for rape survivors, abused minors, and women facing medical complications for their wanted pregnancy. I will work to pass the Act for our Children's Future, to make sure that young people know how to prevent unintended pregnancy, and the CARE Act, to prevent rape survivors from becoming pregnant.
