This information is provided by the candidate |
Provide the Highest Quality Services at Lowest Possible Cost to TaxpayersBeing Fiscally Responsible is the most important item for the citizens of Delhi Township. Every citizen should know that each tax dollar spent on township services should be spent efficiently and should be transparent to the tax payers. Citizens should know that a through review is conducted of all program cost centers for the Township. The township regularlly identifies areas with in programs/cost centers that can create savings. Then reappropriate the savings to areas of need or creating a fiscal reserve. This should be an ongoing process and it should be transparent. In a time when the dollar is stretched, gasoline is between $3 to $4 dollars a gallon, grocery prices are rising, as well as the cost of all other services, and residents resources have been impacted by job loss, reduced wages, and challenges to afford their housing, it is critical that the Township do everything possible to hold the line on increasing the residents burden. The residents of Delhi need to know that their tax dollars are being used in an efficient and effective manner and one which you know the return on your taxpayer dollars. |
