1. What are your qualifications for office? (50 word limit)
I am qualified to be Judge as I was appointed Judge in 2006. I retained the seat after winning the election in 2007. My legal and life experiences qualify me for the position. I was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, and a Juvenile Court Magistrate prior to becoming a Judge.2. What programs do you support to maintain the independence of the judiciary? (100 word limit)
The independence of the judiciary is critical to the doctrine of separation of powers in our government. Seminars that promote judges solely interpreting the law and not legislating from the bench are very beneficial to the independence of the judiciary.3. What specific changes would you like to see in the administration of justice in Hamilton County? (100 word limit)
The most critical change needed in Hamilton County is the addition of more jail space. Every day violent criminals are released back into the community due to over-crowding in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
