? 1. What services do you believe should be considered basic and essential for the township?

Answer from Claude A. "Bud" Noe:

Fire protection and EMS are top priority as protection of life and property must be provided to maintain a livable community. Our roads and traffic control must be overseen by our local officials even though the County maintains most of our roadways, because we are the first eyes and ears for our community as is our residents. My priority is to bring back our Township patrol as I believe although we each are charged with protecting our families there is a need to have the quick response of a well trained police officer when needed. Final thought is the snow removal process in winter, has been good and will be maintained.

? 2. How would you balance the Township Budget?

Answer from Claude A. "Bud" Noe:

I plan to open the books of our township and go over the budget from end to end. I believe our taxes to be spent well and know of no waste. I want to search for funds to pay for police protection, If we can put off patching pot holes to help pay for this then I will bring it to the residents to see what they want and work from there. Maintaining our existing tax base will help fund our Township needs and bringing new commercial uses to our commercial areas will grow our tax base, I will work to bring more development to our Township.

? 3. What actions will you take to support clean air?

Answer from Claude A. "Bud" Noe:

Review our codes and laws in relation to open burning, review our zoning and planning relating to commercial development that emit fumes, odors or discharge into the sewers that can cause pollution. Review dust control measures on construction sites, open mining and farming, although this is considered an unregulated industry. I will work to relieve traffic congestion in our community as this leads to pollution. I am working with my present employer on a pollution nuisance abatement law and will bring this expertise to our Township.
