Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Baldwin Park Unified School District

I am a resident of Baldwin Park for 36 years. I am the third child of 4 I come from a single parent home. My mom always stressed to us the importance of education and seeing her work in factories sewing. I have learned that education is very important. I stress education to all children, and families by giving them the information needed for them to succeed.

As a child I went to Tracy Elementary, Sierra Vista Junior High and Sierra Vista High School. I graduated for Cerritos College with an AA in Early Childhood, Special Education, and certificate in both with honors. I am currently attending the University of Laverne to obtain my BS in Early Childhood.

I was the president of the policy committee for head start. I am currently the Vice President for Baldwin Park National Little league, Coach for the challengers' team. I am on the board for Inclusion Infusion a non-profit organization that provides fitness class for children with special needs, and their families. I am the president of the Kenmore Head Start class.

I have been married for 25 years to a wonderful man who has been very supportive. I have four great children 23, 20, 12, and 4. Two children who graduated from Sierra Vista High School. My 23 year old son is working at UPS. My 20 year old daughter who graduated with honors and is currently at Cal State LA. I have my 12 year old son with Cerebral Palsy, developmental delay, and speech delay. And My four year old who is attending Head Start in Baldwin Park. I advocate for all students, parents, and community. I volunteer in the schools and the community.
