More programs, facilities, walking trails, greenery, programs for the young as well as the older members of the community
As a physician, Neurologist with interests and expertise in the patient and caregiver of Alzheimer's Disease. I have been active locally as well as nationally and internationally in educating the population regarding early screening and identification of the Alzheimer's patient and family. By early screening and awareness, a life plan can be set up for better living for the patient and family. There are medications, legal issues, quality of life issues, and programs such as art and music therapy program.s I am an advisory member of Cognitive Dynamics with fellow expert in the field Dr. Daniel Potts Tuscalosa Alabama. We have presented an poster on the Sense of Self Worth for the Alzheimer's patient at the International Conference Alzheimer's Disease Paris France July 20, 2011. We need more local programs to help those afflicted with the disease and other elderly patients with other issues physical and mental to get them engaged in the community and their life.
I am also a 30 year resident of Agoura prior to cityhood, We are a unique community with our parklands, equestrian trails and various sectors of the community which comprise our city. We need to utilize our resources by more walking trails accessible to all including the elderly and handicapped, bike trails that connect and are safe, walking bridges, shuttle services to transport those around the city inexpensively saving gas, time, and getting those out of the house who do not have transportation. This will help the citizen as well as the community.
