Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Hacienda La Puente Unified School District

I am a 25-year resident of Hacienda Heights with 3 children, whom I regularly advocate for in our district.

I received my BA and Secondary Teaching Credentail from Whittier College in 1985, and 1988 respectively.

I have been a classroom teacher, and am now a Media Center Aide for the HLPUSD. I have also worked as a playground and cafeteria aide over the years.

I have been involved in and supported the district and the community in the following capacities:

Neighborhood Committee for the Hacienda Girl Scout Neighborhood - Cookie & Fall Product Chair and Troop Leader

Bixby Elementary PTA - President, Fundraising Chair

Grazide Elementary PTA - President, Fundraising Chair, Yearbook Coordinator

WIM Club, the booster organization for the Wilson High School Marching Band - President

For the last 6 years I have also read to a first grade class at Grazide Elementary, to offer enrichment to their literature program.
