Political Philosophy for Laura Chardiet
Candidate for |
I believe in strengthening collaboration among all of our community stakeholders, so that in this time of state-mandated budget cuts we can draw on all of the strengths and resources of our community.
I am the coordinator of LAUSD's $15 million nationally-recognized adult literacy program, an experienced classroom teacher, and the parent of two CCUSD students. I know what it takes to build programs, support teachers and ensure student success. I know how to set goals and bring people together to make a vision a reality. My experience, resourcefulness, and collaborative approach will help turn difficult budget discussions into creative opportunities to improve our schools and our community. We have excellent schools in Culver City that have achieved statewide recognition, and we can make them better still. |
