Shall an ordinance be adopted to establish term limits for members of the City Council limiting them to two (2), four (4) year consecutive terms, with a hiatus of two (2) years before being eligible to hold office again as a member of the City Council?
Consistent with State law, Measure P, if adopted, will apply to terms commencing after November 8, 2011. Thus, those persons elected at the November 8, 2011, election and all subsequent elections will be permitted to serve only two consecutive terms. For purposes of the term limits, a term will be two years or more.
