Full Biography for Keith J. Rothfus

|
Keith Rothfus moved to western Pennsylvania with his wife Elsie--a native of Pittsburgh's northern suburbs--shortly after graduating from Notre Dame Law School. He and Elsie are raising their six children, aged three to nineteen, in the same Edgeworth neighborhood in which Elsie grew up. For most of the last twenty years, Keith has been an attorney in private practice, working with large and small employers as they struggle to create jobs and opportunity in this region. He knows firsthand the impact high taxes and ill-considered federal policies have on families in western Pennsylvania. From 2005 to 2007, he worked in the Office of Faith-Based Initiatives in the Department of Homeland Security, working to ensure an appropriate role for faith-based and community organizations when disasters such as Hurricane Katrina strike. A cancer survivor, Keith ran his first marathon eighteen months after the initial diagnosis--testimony to the skill and innovation that mark our country's health care system. His opposition to a federal takeover of health care has been one of the central points of his campaign, along with tax reduction and cuts in federal spending. |
