Harrisburg reform:
-I favor terms limits for legislators and will fight to end excessive waste like per-diems for our elected officials. I favor a constitutional convention to reduce the size of our state legislature.
-I will work to rescind automatic cost of living increase for Legislators, Judges, and other state-employed recipients.
-I will introduce legislation that mimics the federal version of the Hatch Act.
Job Creation:
Job creation is easy but too many career politicians make it a lot harder then what it needs to be. We can create jobs by investing in our infrastructures. Over 80% of the roads, sewer systems, bridges, etc... are in need of major repair. We must use products that are made in Pennsylvania and use Pennsylvania contractors that employee Pennsylvania citizens. This is one way to create jobs and making Pennsylvania safer for its citizens. Part two of my plan is not high paying jobs but they are jobs that created growth in our economy. This is by requiring services stations to employee works to pump our gas for us. This will bring in extra revenue from the workers income tax they will pay to the state. If New Jersey can due this and there gas is cheaper, there is no reason why we can't do it.
Working families:
I would work to rewrite the worker compensation law and work to reduce property taxes thru elimination of wasteful government spending. Working families feel the brunt of the taxes burdens in Pennsylvania. I will work to find other sources of revenue for the state, reduce the amount of money the government spends on running it self and redirect the money to other ares such property tax reduction and job creation by investing in our infrastructures. Scott has many other ideas please check out his web page for more information about him.
