Elected Experience As a Democrat running in a heavily Republican township, I was elected to Township Supervisor in 2007 where I won an upset victory by 7 votes. I was appointed as Chair of the Board of Supervisors in 2010. I ran on a campaign to put residents first. As a supervisor, I resurrected the township newsletter, conducted town hall meetings and have been a strong advocate for residents at board meetings. Despite difficult economic times, I have approved 2 budgets on time with no remaining deficits. I also championed a resolution to designate East Whiteland as a Sierra Club Cool City to demonstrate the township's commitment to reducing its energy usage and its greenhouse gas emissions.
