Candidate for
Council Member; City of Carlsbad

A current Village resident, Jon grew up in Gettysburg, PA and is the son of David Wantz(former Taneytown, MD city councilman) and Jill Bachman. He is a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom while deploying from Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV as a munitions specialist.

Jon moved to Carlsbad in the Summer of 2008, taking over as Vice President of Sales for ProSource Wholesale Floorcoverings in Temecula, CA after serving as a Regional Manager for the company on the east coast for two years. He has since moved on to become a Federal Government Consultant for CRM Learning here in Carlsbad.

Throughout his career, he has been awarded with the Air Force Commendation Medal, Iraqi Freedom Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, Outstanding Unit with Valor, and various peer leadership awards.
