Candidate for
Council Member; City of National City

Frank Lopez currently serves as a Director in the South Bay area for a community based non-profit organization, which encourages self-sufficiency and self-advocacy among children, youth and families. Amongst numerous state and local recognitions throughout his career, 51st District Representative Congressman Bob Filner has also nationally recognized him for his admirable community involvement and achievements.

Presently Lopez is a board member or Izcalli, Co-Chairs the Cinco de Mayo con Orgullo para La Familia, is involved with Circulo de Hombres (Circle of Men), and MADD. Lopez has also formerly served as a board member of CAL Council, The Educational and Latino Advisory Board to Congress. and chaired the National City-Alcohol tobacco and other drugs task force, where he collaborated with local community members and businesses to increase safety while maintaining revenue stream.

Lopez's grandparents immigrated into National City where he established his strong family and community roots. He became a first time homeowner in 1987 and continues to reside in National City, California with his fiancé Claudia. He has three children, Elizabeth-23, Cassandra-21 and Frank Damian-19.
