A Proven Leader With Practical Solutions A long-time resident of San Marcos, Kristal has served on city planning, budget, and economic development boards. She is a practical businesswoman who listens to the public and finds practical solutions to difficult problems. As a spokeswoman for the No on Proposition O campaign, Kristal went door to door to fight the measure that would slash our property values and stunt economic expan¬sion in San Marcos. Her ability to bring people together paid off when the voters shot down Proposition O by 62%. On City Council, Kristal will bring the same determination and one-on-one approach to city government as she continues to work to improve your quality of life.

Kristal Is Creating Local Jobs Kristal is the President of the San Marcos Economic Develop¬ment Council and has worked to attract new businesses that bring good paying jobs to the city. As a Planning Commissioner, Kristal is working to replace the city's outdated plan for homes, shopping and businesses, with a General Plan Update that uses community oriented planning. A wife and mother, she is working to create a vibrant city and will continue expanding parks and other recreational opportunities that we enjoy. On City Council, Kristal will continue working to create an attractive city with a high quality of life that will attract new companies that create local jobs to San Marcos.

Kristal Will Fight For Accountable Government Kristal is committed to fiscal discipline in government employee compensation and pension decisions. She is working to create an efficient government that works for the people, provides the highest level of service and treats residents like valued customers. While on Budget Review Committee, Kristal fought for a balanced budget that improves local roads, maintains parks, keeps community centers open and provides vital services to the people of San Marcos, all without raising taxes.
