Commitment to liberty: Many will say that constitutional concerns are "non-issues" in local politics- stating that Federal and State elections must remained focused on these challenges alone. Liberties outlined in the U.S Constitution are equally important on our most local level of government and must be vigorously defended. The Constitution and Bill of Rights are quite clear with outlining our rights to liberty and justice. My pledge to defend liberty from those who wish to "do violence against our Constitution" is unwavering. I am a self-described Constitutionalist and an advocate of limited government interference. Small business, property ownership and individualism prosper when government abstains from harassing its citizenry. Concerns with constitutionality should never be dismissed at any level.
