I am a lucky man. I have been a teacher at all grade levels including adult education for the past 31 years. My wife Jan and I have two wonderful children in college, Shelby and Chris. I have been active in my community for the past twenty years including coaching,and as member of service clubs, and city commissions.
I was elected to the Vista City Council in 2000. Since then, I have helped establish a beautiful family center downtown. I have protected my citizens with additional fire stations and personal, and a gang injuction. I have voted to keep our city within budget in these difficult economic times.
At same time, my work on the SANDAG Regional Board has allowed me to plan the future of our county. My work with different non - profits have helped those in need find assistance. Finally, my work as a math and science teacher has helped shape the future of many young people.
