A community-based initiative to bring jobs and businesses to Escondido

As Mayor, I will use the implied powers of that office to recruit representatives from neighborhood and citizen groups, existing and prospective businesses and employers; schools; environmental interests; non-profit groups serving youth, seniors, families, the unemployed, and those with special needs; churches and other faith organizations; community relations, marketing and business professionals will be asked to donate their expertise to help organize the effort and then develop the action plan.

The resulting plan will include a recruitment plan that will send me and other representatives "out on the road" to contact and work with representatives of employers and businesses that fit the target business segments
