The use of technology is going to be a major factor in achieving our goals as we try to do more with less. The state's fiscal crisis is forcing class sizes to increase; we must provide our teachers with the resources to effectively perform at a level unparalleled to date. By providing Smart Boards in every classroom we are doing this. Our textbooks can be viewed on websites allowing students access without the weight of carrying the books. There are even remote devices that log the student's answers to questions, making it more convenient for teachers to identify areas of need.

My focus will continue to be on educating students, supporting teachers in this process and connecting with parents and the community when representing them. I will continue to invest the time and energy necessary to be an effective leader.
