My name is Presentacion Sanchez. I am twenty-nine years old. I graduated from Cantua Elementary and from Rio Del Rey High School. I was a long-term substitute teacher for Rio Del Rey High School and I also worked as an ESL and GED teacher for our district. I have an Associate of Arts degree in Administration of Justice and Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Chicano Studies and Liberal Studies. I am currently working on a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential at California State University, Fresno. My philosophy is place students' and community members' interest above self-interest. Our students are the future of our community and as a Board Member I will work to implement policies that promote learning and instill the value of education, so that our students will flourish and strive in their pursuit of higher academia. Our district serves as the gateway to higher levels of education for several communities under the Golden Plains Unified School District jurisdiction and it is our responsibility and obligation to ensure our school sites are adhering to state standards and that our students are provided with equal educational access and opportunity.
