Full Biography for Tobias Lester
Candidate for |
My name is Tobias Lester and I am running for a position on the Walnut Creek School Board. This position would govern the schools in the Walnut Creek School District. Our small but distinguished district includes one middle school, Walnut Creek Intermediate, and several elementary schools including Buena Vista, Indian Valley, Murwood, Parkmead, and Walnut Heights. I am a life long resident of the East Bay. Both my wife and daughter are alums of the W.C.S.D. I'm appreciative of the excellent education my daughter has received and I plan to continue to build upon that history of excellence. These economic times will require a candidate like me who has experience with fiscal management, strategic planning, logistics, and personnel matters. I have experience working with Solano County school districts to manage and plan for their long-term building needs. I have been both a union member and a business owner giving me a unique perspective. With a daughter in her sophomore year at Las Lomas, I have first hand knowledge of the challenges our students face during their early education years. As much as parents need a healthy work/life balance, so do our school children. I want to address the excessive demands placed on our students while maintaining the level of excellence our educational system provides. I am committed to working diligently to achieve our common goals and I humbly ask for your vote. Please contact me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. |
