Candidate for
Board Member; Lafayette School District

For the past two years I have served on the Governing Board of the Lafayette School District. I am excited by the accomplishments our district has achieved through the efforts of our teachers and staff and the strong support from our parents and community.

The Board has worked closely with the administration to maintain tight fiscal controls and conservative budgeting practices. We continue to provide our students with an innovative educational program of the highest quality.

Effective school boards have thoughtful members who listen carefully to all views and give parents, teachers, staff and the community a voice when decisions need to be made. As a Board member I will continue to address the challenges the District faces in a creative and collaborative manner. I have enjoyed the challenge of being a Board member and I appreciate the opportunity to continue to be part of this team.

In the end it's all about doing what is best for our kids.
