Wind, Solar and Alternative Cleantech energy generation is an expanding national industry. The demand for wind power technology is growing and Brentwood is surrounded by an abundance of wind power sources, yet there are few local businesses that exist to support the local wind generation industry.New Ideas NOT New Growth to Revitalize Brentwood's Future Businesses to Support Alternative Energy Programs Wind, Solar and Alternative Cleantech energy generation is an expanding national industry. The demand for wind power technology is growing and Brentwood is surrounded by an abundance of wind power sources, yet there are few local businesses that exist to support the local wind generation industry. Brentwood City Council candidate Jim Cushing has an innovative idea: I will meet with the heads of LLNL, UC Berkeley and the Joint BioEnergy Institute in order to attract new alternative energy support businesses to Brentwood + with the goal of making our city the Bay Area's center for alternative energy start-up companies.
