Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Paradise Unified School District

I have been married for 38 years and have had 5 children graduate from Paradise schools since we moved here over 25 years ago. I have been teaching a severly hanicapped special education class for Sutter County for ten years. I have worked in retail sales and manufacturing before receiving my bachelors degree in Liberal Studies and then completed an additional 2 years to get my certification to teach special needs students. I am an avid sports fan and have officiated for over 35 years in the north state. Six years ago I was asked to run for the school board and won the election over the 3 canidates. Two years later I was relected to the board; now it is time to run for election again. I have played on local softball teams for a number of years. I coached Biggs high School softball for 5 years and with my staff succeded to win a couple of northstate championships and a #2 rating in the state softball polls. I am an active member on the fundraising committee for Hands Of Hope organization in Yuba City that helps homeless famlies and especially school aged children.
