I'm new to the voters of California but I'm not new to service to my country. I signed up for the Marine Corps after high school but a knee injury changed my plans. As a second chance to serve I got involved in my community which propelled me into politics by running for the Dallas City Council as a college student. My results were impressive enough to earn an invitation from the Republican Party to run for the State Legislature the following year. While coming in 2nd place in a two man race I earned my degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, earned college credit for my campaign efforts and got a fortunate introduction that lead to my 17 year career as a telecommunications professional. My career started with AT&T and lead to deal winning roles at the industry's top companies. I've also worked on the preparation of an IPO for an Internet start up during the dot com boom as well as holding a senior leadership role at the Samsung Corporation working on next generation wireless technologies in South Korea. Upon arriving in California I combined my political & telecommunications background by implementing technologies used by our Criminal Justice Systems and Department of Homeland Security. This technology is used to uphold the due process of law, protect the rights of victims & help prevent new crimes. It is also used to help deport those who enter America illegally. While I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas my career brought me to California 13 years ago and home is where the heart is so I am a Californian at heart. I believe that I give Republican voters their best chance to ever win this seat by appealing to the broadest spectrum of voters by offering a vision and a plan for a new generation of leadership for the 21st Century. Bottom line, I'm running for the United States Senate to help reform our government to provide capital for entrepreneurs who can create more jobs by making it easier to start and run a high tech start up business that can make America competitive in the new global economy. |
