Dear Voters,

California is in an economic crisis with rising unemployment, foreclosures, and bankruptcies. For the first time in our history, our children and grandchildren may not achieve the American Dream. We cannot let this happen. We must create more good paying, sustainable jobs, give tax relief to the middle class and small businesses, and roll back unfair tax breaks for giant corporations.

I run a small family business with over 50 employees. I have firsthand experience on budgeting and economic forecasting, and will bring real life solutions to California's budget problems.

Our health care system needs improvement; costs are rising while coverage is reduced. I will support legislation to reform our health care system, placing people's health over the pocketbooks of insurance companies.

My wife is a math professor and we have two small children. Our lives are directly affected by budget cuts to education every day. It is clear to us that California's education system is failing. Cuts hurt kids! I will join with educators to fight against further budget cuts.

This District deserves a representative with the courage, integrity, and local understanding to fight for every neighborhood business, every school, every working family, every senior, and every child.

I am that candidate.
