Political Philosophy for Stacie Lynn Nevares
Candidate for |
If elected my first five priorities will be: I will work with the employees and service providers of the office and establish a positive and proactive work environment that is inclusive, cooperative and respectful. I will meet with all of the twenty three law enforcement agencies that work within San Mateo County and their unions to encourage the collaboration and to provide streamlined and coordinated services to the families of San Mateo County by developing a detailed a collaboratively developed protocol. I will establish clear, common sense standards for keeping families informed about issues concerning organ and tissue donation and research by designing and implementing a humane protocol for dealing with sensitive issues and addressing families' needs. I will work with San Mateo County government agencies, local non-profits and individual advocates to improve access to hospice care, end of life information, and services for San Mateo County families in addition to connecting the families with county services in their time of need. I will work to make the Coroner's Office an asset to the community beyond its basic function. I will make this office innovative by offering the County of San Mateo families and community more than death investigations, but viable resources to prepare members of our community in the event of a death of a loved one. I will make the office and myself assessable to the public and welcome their input and ideas. |
